Products and services
We may offer educational courses, tutorials, downloadable or streamed digital resources, development examples, one-to-one development assistance, code reviews and related educational services.
The description, price, included material, access arrangements and important requirements for a product or service will be shown before purchase.
We may add, remove or update products and services over time. Changes will not remove statutory rights relating to purchases already made.
Age and authority to purchase
If you are under 18, you should only make a purchase with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian where required.
By placing an order, you confirm that you have authority to use the selected payment method and enter into the transaction.
Orders, prices and payment
Prices will be displayed before you complete a purchase. Applicable taxes or additional charges will be displayed or calculated where required.
Payments may be processed through Stripe or another payment processor identified at checkout.
An order is accepted once payment has been successfully completed and we provide confirmation or access to the relevant product or service, subject to payment and fraud checks.
If a payment is reversed, cancelled, fraudulent or otherwise invalid, we may suspend related access while the issue is investigated.
Digital content and cancellation
Courses and other digital content may be supplied immediately following successful payment.
Where applicable, before immediate supply begins, you may be asked to expressly consent to digital content being supplied during the statutory cancellation period and acknowledge that your cancellation right may be lost once supply begins.
Please read our Refund Policy for further information.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights relating to digital content or services that are faulty, materially not as described or otherwise fail to satisfy applicable consumer law.
Course access and licence
Unless stated otherwise, purchasing educational content gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use that material for your own learning and development.
Purchasing content does not transfer ownership of PaperChasin Academy's course materials, videos, code examples, graphics or written materials to you.
Unless expressly permitted, you must not:
- resell or redistribute course access;
- publish or leak paid course material;
- share access credentials to avoid purchasing separate access;
- reproduce substantial paid material for a competing commercial training service;
- bypass technical restrictions protecting paid content.
Code, templates or assets specifically described as reusable resources may be subject to separate licence terms displayed with that resource.
Development assistance and commissioned work
One-to-one assistance, code reviews and other commissioned services may have additional project-specific terms concerning scope, price, timing, revisions and delivery.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, educational assistance does not guarantee that a project will be completed, commercially successful, accepted by a third-party platform or free from every possible error.
You are responsible for reviewing and testing code, configurations and development advice before deploying them to a live project.
Acceptable use
You must not use PaperChasin Academy to:
- interfere with our website, servers or security systems;
- obtain unauthorised access to another person's account or content;
- scrape or redistribute paid material in breach of these Terms;
- send malware or harmful code;
- impersonate another person;
- commit fraud or abuse payment systems;
- use our services for unlawful purposes.
Intellectual property
PaperChasin Academy and PaperChasin' Studios branding, website design, original educational material, graphics, videos and written content are owned by us or used with permission except where otherwise stated.
Roblox and other third-party names, logos, software and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Third-party platforms
PaperChasin Academy may link to or use third-party services including Roblox, Discord, YouTube, Stripe and Cloudflare.
Those services are operated independently and may have their own terms, privacy policies and availability requirements.
We are not responsible for changes or outages made by third-party platforms outside our reasonable control.
Availability and updates
We may perform maintenance, update educational material or alter the technical manner in which content is delivered.
We will take reasonable steps to avoid unnecessarily disrupting paid access, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability at all times.
Responsibility and liability
Our courses and resources are educational. Results will depend on factors including your own work, experience, project and relevant third-party platforms.
We do not promise particular earnings, game performance, player numbers, employment, commercial success or other specific outcomes.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or rights and liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Suspension or termination
We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, serious misuse, unauthorised redistribution, a security threat or a material breach of these Terms.
This provision will not be used to avoid or remove statutory consumer rights.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as PaperChasin Academy develops or where legal or technical requirements change.
The latest version will appear on this page with its update date.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you and cannot lawfully be excluded.
